The decor of 【Komboi】restaurant follows a trendy and warm style, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere as soon as you step inside. The spacing between tables is also designed to ensure comfort. Chef David excels in modern French cuisine, and the name【Komboi】suggests that every dish aims to leave diners longing for more, reaching a level where the plates are emptied.
Today, I tasted their winter menu. Instead of reviewing each dish separately, the entire meal was an enjoyable and relaxed experience, savoring each delicately crafted and delicious dish with ease.
The appetizer of katsuo tart is exquisitely presented and has a captivating flavor. The venison tartare has a refreshing taste, and the abalone is delicious. The additional option of snails/portobello mushroom is a signature dish of the restaurant and frequently appears in the seasonal set menu, allowing guests to try it out. The combination of portobello mushrooms with snails, spinach sauce, and egg yolk is delicious when eaten individually and offers a unique flavor when eaten together. The beef tongue has a rich and flavorful taste, while the filefish provides a refreshing contrast.
Both the main courses, the duck (Canard Rouge) and A4 beef, are perfectly cooked with a crispy and fragrant outer layer, providing an enjoyable texture. The dessert section, though not surprising, is still tasty and complements well with tea and coffee, providing a satisfying conclusion to the meal.
Priced at NT$2380 for a seven-course meal, it’s definitely worth a try.
