【Blu Koi】is a Japanese restaurant located in an alley on Ren’ai Road, which opened in 2021. For dinner, they offer a “Omakase” menu priced at NT$3980 and a “Kaiseki” menu priced at NT$4980. The restaurant’s decor is understated yet exudes a sense of mystery, the counter seating can accommodate up to 8 guests, providing a comfortable dining environment. The “Omakase” menu consists of 18 courses, offering a wide variety of dishes with fresh ingredients. While the chef doesn’t speak much, he is very friendly and hospitable.
The appetizer starts with a refreshing “Snow Crab Salad,” which serves as a delightful opener. The set menu includes a series of tuna dishes, allowing you to savor the distinct textures and flavors of tuna from different parts of the fish. The “Deep-Fried Sea Urchin with Shiso,” “Sweet Shrimp Nigiri,” and “Ishigaki Scallop Nigiri” are also incredibly fresh and delicious.
The “Tamagoyaki” at【Blu Koi】has a dense and smooth texture, while the “Clam Miso Soup” is rich with plump clams. The “Rose Petals with Kiwi Sorbet” as the finale is a delightful experience, where guests get to crush the rose petals and sprinkle them over the dish, creating a fun and refreshing flavor.
Overall, the【Blu Koi】set menu offers a wide variety of flavors, delicious taste, and dishes of a very good standard that leave one feeling satisfied. It is definitely worth a try.
