Located on the 6th floor of the Taichung Opera House,【Café Crotchet】offers window seats with a remarkably wide and expansive view. From these seats, guests can enjoy a panoramic view of the park. On sunny afternoons, the entire restaurant is filled with bright natural light, creating a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere.
The desserts displayed in the pastry counter at【Café Crotchet】are exquisitely presented. We ordered a ” Crotchet Garden” pastry, a cappuccino, and a pot of Yirgacheffe coffee. The ” Crotchet Garden” pastry had a filling that combined chocolate and Hawaiian nuts. Although the texture was slightly firm, the taste was enjoyable. The cappuccino and Yirgacheffe coffee met our expectations in terms of flavor, and they were served in beautifully designed cups.
Overall, it is a highly recommended dessert and coffee shop. The scenic seats are definitely worth it, and sitting by the window makes you feel very relaxed. Additionally, there is no additional service charge for the meals, and there is also a rooftop garden nearby where you can take a stroll. Since there are only a few window seats available, they are almost fully occupied on weekdays. Therefore, if you plan to visit, remember to make a reservation in advance.
